Mission
End-of-Life Options Alaska provides educational resources and facilitates non-partisan, ethical, culturally sensitive community dialogue with the goal of helping to ensure that terminally ill individuals in Alaska are able to choose the compassionate care that is most appropriate for themselves at the end of their lives. We seek to build a statewide coalition of people who are dedicated to respecting the autonomy of the terminally ill and working together to make medical aid in dying (MAiD) a legal option available in Alaska.
Vision
We envision an Alaska where every mentally capable and terminally ill adult, regardless of background or belief, has the knowledge and support to consider all available end-of-life options in alignment with their values and circumstances. By cultivating meaningful conversations and relationships, we lay the groundwork for a future where compassionate medical aid in dying is a legally recognized option, supported by a well-informed public and healthcare community.
